Merchant commerce systems
The existing commerce stack remains the source of truth and the transaction authority.
Future Strategic Integration
Prepare your catalog for shopping journeys that begin outside your storefront, while keeping product truth, channel permissions, checkout authority, and measurement under merchant control.
WardrobeIt is not currently connected to external AI shopping agents. This page shows the merchant-control and product-readiness direction for future verified integrations.
Agentic Commerce
01 Channel Landscape
External AI shopping environments do not offer merchants the same product controls or commerce path. The directory separates current market context from WardrobeIt’s own integration status.

| Channel | Primary Role | Commerce Path | WardrobeIt Status |
|---|---|---|---|
| CG ChatGPT Conversational discovery and comparison | Product discovery | Merchant-owned checkout | Not connected |
| GA Google AI Mode & Gemini Approved agentic commerce journeys | Discovery + actions | Eligible direct buying | Not connected |
| MC Microsoft Copilot Product discovery and eligible purchasing | Discovery + purchase | Platform managed | Not connected |
| SA Shopify Agentic Storefronts Platform-managed product distribution | Channel management | Eligibility dependent | Future platform connection |

Channel availability, supported markets, checkout models, product eligibility, and reporting can change independently of WardrobeIt. No channel shown here is currently connected through WardrobeIt.
02 Commerce Intelligence Architecture
WardrobeIt’s future role is not to replace commerce platforms or external AI interfaces. It is to organize merchant product truth, permissions, and measurement between them.
Layer 01 · Current
The existing commerce stack remains the source of truth and the transaction authority.
Layer 02 · Future
Normalize product context, define eligibility, apply Merchant Knowledge, and preserve channel-specific rules.
Layer 03 · Future
Use the approved path for each external environment instead of assuming one protocol fits every channel.
Layer 04 · External
External interfaces may support discovery, evaluation, referrals, checkout initiation, or direct purchase.
Merchant systems provide commerce truth. WardrobeIt prepares product intelligence and controls. External channels provide the shopper interface. The approved commerce environment completes the transaction.
03 Agent-Ready Product Data
External AI shopping environments need stable product identities, useful attributes, current commercial data, approved evidence, and explicit channel eligibility. Missing information should create a merchant review state, not an AI guess.
Stable titles, descriptions, brand, category, product IDs, variant IDs, SKUs, and canonical product URLs.
Structured style, occasion, color, size, fit, material, season, compatibility, and merchant-defined attributes.
Current price, currency, market, availability, eligible variants, quantity rules, and approved offer eligibility.
Images, specifications, materials, measurements, fit notes, care, delivery, returns, warnings, and approved explanations.
Discovery eligibility, referral-only status, checkout readiness, market restrictions, product-policy compliance, and merchant exclusions must remain separate.
Product-Truth Rule
Unsupported attributes, hidden inventory, invented offers, policy exceptions, or unapproved product claims must not enter an external channel.
04 AI Commerce Journey Models
An AI channel may help only with discovery, support in-channel evaluation, initiate a merchant checkout, or complete a purchase directly. Each stage has different data, permission, and platform dependencies.
The external AI understands the shopper request, presents relevant products, then links to the merchant storefront or checkout.
Future WardrobeIt role
Depends on channel discovery support and merchant feed participation.
The shopper reviews product facts, images, comparisons, variants, policies, and explanations without immediately leaving the channel.
Future WardrobeIt role
Depends on the channel’s product and knowledge interfaces.
The channel confirms a product and variant, prepares a cart or checkout context, then hands the shopper to an approved commerce path.
Future WardrobeIt role
Depends on commerce platform, protocol, and checkout support.
The shopper may purchase inside the external environment only where the channel, product, market, payment, and merchant conditions permit it.
Boundary
Requires verified channel, protocol, payment, and merchant eligibility.
Discovery eligibility does not equal direct-checkout eligibility.
Referral, checkout initiation, embedded checkout, platform-managed checkout, and direct agentic checkout should always be labeled separately.
05 Merchant Controls and Guardrails
The future control layer should make external distribution an explicit merchant decision. No channel should appear connected, approved, or allowed to transact until its technical and commercial status is real.
Permission Matrix
Discovery, referral, checkout initiation, and direct checkout remain independent permissions.
| Policy area | Discover | Refer | Initiate | Direct |
|---|---|---|---|---|
| Approved products | Draft | Draft | Off | Off |
| Eligible variants | Draft | Draft | Off | Off |
| Merchant Knowledge | Draft | Draft | Off | Off |
| Approved offers | Off | Off | Off | Off |
| Checkout authority | Off | Off | Off | Off |
External systems should never receive instructions to invent product facts, guarantee fit or delivery, expose private merchant information, create policy exceptions, or apply unauthorized discounts.
06 Protocol and Platform Readiness
WardrobeIt’s future technical direction can evaluate open standards, commerce-platform distribution, and approved custom connections. Each path still requires its own participation, product, market, checkout, and reporting validation.
Potential path for product, variant, checkout capability, and commerce-action negotiation.
Potential path for approved agentic actions across Google AI environments and merchant commerce systems.
Commerce platforms may handle syndication, channel eligibility, checkout, orders, and reporting.
Specialist or emerging agents may require unique feeds, APIs, events, and commercial reviews.
Every capability needs both a WardrobeIt implementation and the required external dependency.
| Capability | Current ability | Future external | External dependency |
|---|---|---|---|
| Conversational product discovery | Supported | Planned | Channel discovery support |
| Catalog-only recommendations | Supported | Planned | Feed or catalog connection |
| Variant selection | Supported | Planned | Channel + checkout capability |
| Checkout creation | Create cart flow | Planned | Platform, protocol, or merchant API |
| Channel attribution | Internal outcomes | Planned | Channel events + order connection |
07 Measurement and Readiness
External AI commerce needs transparent definitions and a readiness process before activation. Product-feed availability or a channel referral alone does not prove an incremental order.
Agentic Commerce Readiness
Assessment not started
This readiness checker identifies product, policy, checkout, security, and measurement gaps without implying that an external connection already exists.
A completed checklist is an internal readiness signal only. It does not activate or verify any external AI shopping channel.
Not currently. External AI Shopping Channels are a future strategic integration. WardrobeIt does not currently claim active product-feed distribution, ACP or UCP support, external-agent checkout, or channel-level revenue reporting.
The future model may use commerce-platform distribution, structured product feeds, channel-specific APIs, ACP, UCP, merchant checkout links, approved checkout APIs, webhooks, and attribution connections. The exact path depends on the channel and merchant implementation.
Only merchant-approved product identities, descriptions, prices, availability, variants, images, attributes, policies, eligibility, and market rules. Private credentials, hidden data, unsupported claims, and unauthorized shopper information should not be distributed.
No. ACP or UCP readiness does not guarantee channel participation, market access, product approval, checkout availability, or reporting. Each environment can require separate approval and implementation.
No. The approved commerce environment remains responsible for product accuracy, checkout, payment, taxes, shipping, orders, fulfillment, returns, refunds, and customer support.
No. Participation or attributed revenue shows involvement under a documented model. Incremental revenue requires a suitable controlled test or causal measurement method.
WardrobeIt may help prepare agent-ready feeds, normalize product and variant information, apply channel eligibility, share approved product knowledge, preserve guardrails, validate variants, support checkout initiation, and connect eligible channel outcomes with attribution.
Future Strategic Integration
Identify product-data gaps, channel requirements, checkout dependencies, merchant controls, protocol readiness, and measurement needs before activating an external shopping environment.
